About God of Desire
We believe that attraction and desire are from God and that he uses our desires for one another to draw us closer to him.
This site is built around an essay outlining twelve principles to bring us from dating to courtship to paradise. We don't offer a set of rules or psychological analysis. Instead, these principles are intended to set us free from the confusion of our culture so that we can trust our passions, our hearts, and our desires to lead us ultimately toward God.
These principles stick very close to scripture, and are the fruit of much prayer and many workshop discussion sessions. They are also the fruit of an intense encounter with life itself. The solutions here are very practical and personal.
We've made an effort to be as broadly inclusive and non-denominational as possible in the main body of this site. We believe these ideas should appeal to not only to all Christians, but to people of goodwill everywhere. The founders of this site are Catholic, and have included a separate area of the site for materials of a specifically Catholic nature.
